The playback timing master needs to be changed to outs 1 and 2 or something like that.
it should be set to analog 1 and 2 or something like that. Ummm, no one saw that his playback and recording timing masters are set wrong. I had installed ASIO4ALL yesterday with those exact settings incidentally but that Audio Options dialog box won't let me change driver mode to ASIO in the Audio Options tab! Use these settings on it for Vista (on XP it will say Use Hardware Buffers where it says Allow Pull Mode being the only difference) Till I save some money to buy a new interface in a few months time, how can I make audio play? Many thanks for any suggestions!!! Other information.because of this Audio problem, when trying to import audio, the proper waveform doesn't appear (nor plays). I see another user had this problem before. However the Audio won't play now, and I can't change settings in the Audio Options box either now.it's just "frozen" in the setting I put after changing to MME. I remember doing this on the old laptop too. First neither Audio or MIDI would play, until I got MIDI to play via the MME setting in Options>Audio>Playback and Recording. Yes, the Realtek HD is also an inbuilt integrated audio device, but I cannot for the life of me get it to import/play audio or play softsynths in Sonar.
